Almost two hours of rare archival footage and vintage documentaries that chronicle mankind's quest to explore the Moon. These exciting clips capture the drama and the challenges of space flight... the triumphs and the tragedies experienced in our effort to put a man in a rocket and send him into outerspace.

This DVD brings to the viewer: a US Army documentary that details the launch of our first satellite, Explorer 1. Including a rare interview with the German scientist that many consider the father of the Apollo program, Werner von Braun. Each key step in our journey to the moon is included: The Story of the Mercury Seven; two rare newsreels about John Glenn's space flight; the missions of the Gemini Program; and a vintage documentary about Apollo Eleven.

This disk is a first for the DVD collector and space enthusiast.
