D-DAY
June 6th, 1944... D-Day. It was the greatest military assault ever staged. Code named Operation Overlord, the massive invasion of Normandy by the Allies involved more than a quarter of a million soldiers, sailors and airmen, 5000 ships and 3000 aircraft.
